Land Bank approves removing of blighted Schenectady buildings
SCHENECTADY — 3 blighted properties will be demolished, and a fourth will be rehabilitated, beneath assignments accepted by the Funds Area Land Bank.
Two of the properties slated for demolition, at 1052 and 1062 Barrett St., are in the city’s Little Italy community, while a third, at 7 Mohawk Ave., is close to Mohawk Harbor.
“We are pleased to keep the momentum heading by approving these new tasks that will eliminate blighted properties and assist us continue to revitalize our neighborhoods,” claimed Schenectady County Legislator Richard Ruzzo, who chairs the Money Area Land Financial institution.
