Canada funds climate-resilience schemes


Ministers declared funding of CA$46.7m (£30m) for two weather-resilience schemes: the Weather Resilient Created Environment initiative and the Criteria to Assist Resilience in Infrastructure Software.

The Weather Resilient Created Ecosystem (CRBE) initiative, funded by Infrastructure Canada and led by the Nationwide Study Council of Canada, will deliver the know-how to adapt general public infrastructure wherever important, advise changes to constructing and infrastructure codes, and generate guides, standards, resources, and technological alternatives for local climate resilience.
